Clearing and grubbing primarily entails cutting down trees and grinding the remaining stumps to prepare an area of development. Mashuda Corporation utilizes Timcos (tree cutters) and industrial-grade stump grinders to perform this work.
During this stage, Mashuda Corporation demonstrates first hand its commitment to the environment. We don't believe in a "no tree left behind" approach to grading, but rather a more environmentally friendly approach: trees are left behind, and as many as possible.
A true story: At one former project site, Mashuda Corporation was in the process of clearing trees. But there was one lone tree that happened to be housing a family of red hawks. Ralph Mashuda, President, was adamant that, as long as the red hawks were nesting, the tree was to be spared. The project team was instructed to simply work around the tree. Only after the birds permanently left the nest did Ralph allow the tree to be removed.
